FAQ

Will these condoms diagnose me with a specific STD on the spot?

No, they will not. They will change color to let you know that an STD is present at all, and then you and your partner should follow up by seeing a doctor.

Do you think this device’s abilities to detect STDs are bad for anyone?

They’d be bad for someone only if they are trying to keep the presence of an STD a secret, which would make them pretty evil. But our condoms would reveal that presence, as well as prevent it from spreading (because condoms do that in the first place).

How did you get the idea for this invention?

In 2012, I was thinking about how rarely people get checked for STDs unless they’re experiencing some bad symptoms already, as well as how most people not using condoms and most STDs giving no symptoms worsens this problem. I thought of how convenient it would be to find out if an STD is present from home, and how more people would use condoms if they felt better. Since then, I have been working at this to bring this new generation condom to market.

What do you guys hope for the future?

We wish to see our technology become the norm, because it doesn’t make sense to opt out of knowing if you have an STD – there is no downside. This can help people of all sorts worldwide, and we want it to reach and help the masses.

When will these condoms come out for purchase?

They’ll be available as soon as we can get them on the market. Check back here on our site for news and updates!
